When you design corporate graphics to represent your business, you reap some pretty amazing benefits. Those benefits include increased recognizability and engagement with your target audience, strengthening of your corporate brand, and improved marketplace sales. Designing the graphics that represent your company is one thing. Creating and delivering them accurately is another.

Once your corporate graphics are ready to share with the public, you want to ensure the depiction and production of your designs are as accurate as possible. That often means wrestling with one or more aspects of color management. At DPRINT and MYDPRINT, we understand the critical importance of color accuracy whether we design and deliver your graphics or you trust us with your DIY graphic design products. We proudly own the technology to manage color representation. We’re currently undertaking G-7 certification. Here’s what that means for your graphic design products.

G-7 Stands For Grayscale Plus Seven Colors

4 Subtractive Colors

  • Cyan
  • Magenta
  • yellow
  • black

Additive Colors

  • red
  • green
  • blue

G-7’s certification program gauges the capability of a software system to correctly calibrate a printing device to meet the G-7 grayscale definition. In other words, it helps ensure “visually accurate color reproduction by putting emphasis on matching grayscale colorimetric measurements between processes.” (Wikipedia)

G-7 color technology simply means you can rest assured that whatever you trust us to print and deliver will be true to the color you choose. It also means you get the exact colors you select from pre-press to final product – and every step along the way. Whether you give it to us digitally, via scan, or in person, it will be delivered to you as a precise, true-to-color finished product.

When you select one or more colors using our MYDPRINT design tool, we receive the color specifications embedded in your file as CMYK process colors. Although colors vary widely from computer screen to computer screen, we take full liability for CMYK color matching according to your file. Please note that this does not mean the color will display exactly the same as it does on your screen. If you have a specific color you want to match, tell us the Pantone color number and we’ll happily match to that standard.

Here’s what G-7 color technology really means for your corporate graphics. It means your products are designed to enhance your color control. It means when you create a vehicle wrap, your single vehicle or fleet of vehicles gets the exact colors you specify. We proudly deliver quality along with accuracy. Your vehicle wraps, and other products, won’t blister, peel, crack or fade. The car that reps your business at a trade show looks exactly like the car that reps your business at an auto show. In other words, your branding is clear, cohesive, consistent, and designed to last.
